An AI product taken to launch
Lumen · invented client, our own process
These are live products. We designed them, we built them, and we operate them today, including the support that comes with real users.
Our own · Consumer · Social
A social journal for everyday life. Write a line, add a photograph, and see the same day back from a circle small enough to name. One post a day, with no endless feed.
Live
Our own · AI · Assistant
An AI assistant tested against evals on every change. We wrote the test suite before the features, and we use the assistant ourselves every day.
Live
Our own · macOS · Wallpaper
Living wallpaper for the Mac. Every frame is drawn on the GPU rather than played from a file, so it moves all day and never loops. Seventeen compositions, each one yours to recolour and retune.
Live
By the numbers
Live services carry users, uptime and bills of their own. That is the point of having them.
How one happens
The process a client buys is the process we run on ourselves. It is the only way we know whether it is any good.
Every one of these started as something the studio needed and could not buy. Nothing here began as a market gap on a slide.
Rough, ugly and real, in the hands of the people who felt the problem. A prototype nobody uses answers nothing.
Same cadence as a client build, same rule: if there is nothing to show, that is the week’s finding, and we say so.
A product that people keep using gets a home on this page. One that does not gets written up and shut down.
FAQ
Vaaho.ai is open to anyone, and Dusk is a download away on any Mac running macOS 13 or later. Daypost is invite only while we keep the group small enough to answer every message about it.
No. They are ours to run. Client work is separate, scoped separately, and priced by phase.
The studio funds both, deliberately. Neither one is a side project run in the gaps of the other.
That is most of what we do. The solutions page sets out the three shapes an engagement usually takes.
Two got shut down before launch. We will write those up properly, because the reasons are more useful than the launches.
Tell us what you have in mind, and we’ll tell you honestly whether it’s worth building.
