Partners, nota directory.
Independent firms that take the briefs we cannot, put their people on our builds, and run their own client work on our design system. Seats are by application.
Membership
What you get
for being on the list
The programme is small on purpose. Everything below is worth less the moment there are two hundred of us.
A name on the roster
Your firm is listed on this page and named in Ultrabasic proposals as an official partner. Clients check.
Work we cannot take
We turn down more than we accept. Last year that was 31 briefs passed to partners, with the introduction made by us.
A seat on our builds
Join Ultrabasic delivery teams at partner rates, on our contracts and our tooling. No pitching, no procurement.
Our design system
The component library, the document pipeline and the portal shell this studio runs on, licensed for your own client work.
A direct line
A partner portal for referrals, shared projects and invoices, and a channel to the studio that is not a support queue.
Two reviews a year
A full architecture and design review of one of your own builds, written up, at no cost. Use it on your hardest project.
Standing
Three levels,
and a waiting list
Everyone starts at associate. Standing is reviewed once a year, and it moves in both directions.

The bar
What we look for,
in a partner firm
We would rather tell you the bar than have you guess at it. Most rejections are one of these four.
Work that shipped
Two things we can open and use, that you can talk us through decision by decision.
The builders on the call
The team we meet is the team that builds. The same rule we hold ourselves to.
One thing you are best at
Six specialists beat one firm that lists every service. Tell us the one you would bet on.
Room on the roster
We will not admit two firms chasing the same work in the same market. Sometimes the answer is only timing.
From application to a seat
-
Apply
The form below. Ten minutes, and two links to work you are proud of.
-
We read
Applications are read together on the first Monday of each month. Everyone hears back either way.
-
One call
Forty five minutes with a founder, about your work and ours. Both sides decide at the end of it.
-
You are in
The partner agreement, portal access, and your logo on the roster at the top of this page.
Before you apply
Answers,
before you ask
No fee to apply and no fee to hold a seat. The programme pays for itself through the work that moves in both directions.
Sometimes, and we say so upfront. The roster is capped partly to keep that rare. If a brief suits you better, you get the introduction.
Three people is fine. Solo is usually not, because co-delivery needs someone who can cover you. Apply anyway if the work is exceptional.
You get the actual reason in writing, and you can apply again after six months. A fair number of current partners are on their second application.
Yes. Standing is reviewed once a year, and a partner who stops answering or ships work we would not put our name on comes off the list.
Put your firm
